Beautifully high-fashion with a desirable minimalism, The Season Hats has a unique style which offers refined design combined with wearability. An engineered yet playful approach works with each material’s properties and integrates materials in innovative ways.
Launched in 2015, The Season Hats is a new millinery brand fulfilling the headwear needs of the modern International wardrobe with Intelligent Elegant Hats.
The collections range from androgynous casualwear, though contemporary leather headwear to our signature foldable event pieces: each with The Season Hats’ engineered luxury.
Owned and run by husband and wife team, Paul Stafford is the Designer, with Selina Horshi the contact for buying and marketing.
Paul holds an MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge (where he and Selina first met), which is the basis for his scientific and engineered approach to construction. He trained in traditional technique under couture milliner Rachel Trevor-Morgan, milliner to HRH The Queen. During his MA in Fashion Womenswear (Millinery), from the Royal College of Art in London, Paul refined his approach to design, how he works with materials, and defining his softly geometric aesthetic.
Paul’s past design roles include working in perfume bottle design for Thierry Mugler in Paris, and designing hats for Misa Harada. Collaborations and freelance work has been undertaken for Yiqing Yin (Paris Couture Week) and Steffie Christiaens (Paris Fashion Week). He has exhibited at Fashion Space Gallery and in ShowCabinet, the exhibition space of ShowStudio.
With international appeal and stockists, The Season Hats have been photographed for Vogue Italia, Vogue India, L’Officiel Thailand, Schon, Kaltblut, The Protagonist Magazine, The Telegraph, Hong Kong Tatler, Irish Tatler and Tatler Singapore amongst many others.
The Season Hats exhibit at Premiere Classe in Paris and are delighted to be showing at London Fashion Week as part of the BFC’s Headonism Initiative.
